ARCE. Rebeca Arce, 25, died Sunday, November 26, 1995. Rebeca was a 1988 graduate of Macarthur High School. Her loving family includes her parents: Luciano and Rosario Arce, her son: Jose Manuel Villegas II, 5 brothers, 5 sisters, 21 nephews and nieces, and 2 great-nephews. A rosary will be recited Wednesday, November 29, at 7:00 pm at the Tidwell Chapel of Crespo Funeral Home. Funeral procession will depart the Funeral home Thursday, November 30, at 9:15 am for celebration of the funeral liturgy at Our Lady Of St. John Church, Rev. Armando J. Rodriguez officiating. BAILEY. John P. Bailey, 65, of Houston, Texas, died Saturday, November 25th, 1995. Survivors include his wife Vera, daughters Debbie Allen and Theresa West, son Steve Bailey and step-daughter Jenny Ready. He is also survived by two sisters Doris Taylor and Kathryn Gilbert and one brother, Doug Bailey. He leaves 6 grandchildren Kelly Allen, Tracy Allen, Jamie Baggett, Justin Baggett, Nikki Bailey, and Natay Baggett. He worked for Champion Paper Company for 37 years and retired in 1986. Funeral services will be held at Pasadena Funeral Chapel at 2203 Pasadena Blvd. Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm Monday, November 27th, 1995. Services will be at 10:30 am Tuesday, November 28th, 1995. Graveside services to follow at Forest Park East.

BANKSTON. Mr. Garland L. Bankston, 76, of Magnolia, formerly of Houston, died Sunday, November 25, 1995 at Tomball Regional Hospital. He was born June 4, 1919 in Telephone, Texas, the son of Garland W. and Hazel Weaver Bankston. Mr. Bankston was a veteran of WWII, having served in the U.S. Army where he received a Purple Heart and numerous other ribbons. He retired from the Houston Police Department after 20 years of service in 1963. He was preceded in death by his wife, Afton Lois Bufkin Bankston in 1988, A brother James Claude Bankston, and a grandson, Domenic Michael Bankston. Survivors include his children, Michael L. Bankston, Philip Horace Bankston, Cynthia L. Bankston, all of Houston and Candace Afton Coe of Magnolia; a sister, Dottie Skearton and husband S.J. of Houston; sister-in-law, Jo Bankston of Houston; grandchildren, Lisa Marie Turner, Michael Bankston, Jr., Christopher Bankston, Matthew Bankston, Andrew Bankston, Brandi Bankston, Kelsey Bankston, Courtney Coe, Cara Coe and Cassie Coe; and great grandchildren, Nicole, Clinton and Sierra. Mr. Banks was born May 20, 1935 in Brooklyn, New York and passed away Sunday, November 26, 1995 in Houston, Texas after a courageous 2 year battle with cancer. BINGHAM. Mary Agnes Galyean Bingham died Monday, November 27, 1995. She was 72. Mrs. Bingham was born May 27, 1923 in Water Valley, Mississippi. She is preceded in death by her husbands, Ralph Galyean, Sr., in 1969, and Bill Bingham, in 1988. She is survived by her daughter, Judy Christy and husband, Bob, of Houston; son, Ralph Galyean, Jr., and wife, Laraine, of Buras, Louisiana; grandchildren, Barbara Millwee and husband, John, and Forest Christy IV, all of Houston; and Ralph Galyean III and Brian Galyean, both of Buras, Louisiana. BRADFORD. Vivian Jones Bradford, 50, passed away November 21, 1995 in Corpus Christi. Born October 11, 1945 in Chicago, she is survived by husband Xavier, of 30 years, daughters Tara of Houston, Nichol of New York City, and sister Carol Hill of Chicago. Vivian was the first black woman in the United States to establish a Greyhound Racing Kennel, Greystroke Racing Team, LTD. In the community she had served as the President of the Gulf Coast Black Women's Lawyer Association, Executive Board Member of the Federation of Professional Women, Board Member of the Houston Area Women Center, and a Member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Memorial services are tonight, Tuesday, November 28, 7:00 pm at Unity Church, 2929 Unity Drive, Houston.

CALHOUN. Deacon Paul R. Calhoun, expired November 25, 1995. He is retired from the Houston Community College System. CANDELARI. Gene Candelari, 69, died Sunday, November 26, 1995. He was a veteran of WWII, having served in the US Navy. Mr. Candelari was a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church. He retired from TRW in 1985 after 35 years of service. An avid sports fan and a master bridge player, he had played in many studios in Houston. Mr. Candelari is survived by his wife of 43 years, Lura; daughter, Terri and husband, Joe Bolin of Richmond; sons, Gene Louis Candelari, Jr. and wife Linda of Sealy, Ronald Raymond Candelari and Thomas Floyd Candelari, both of Houston; sisters, Mary Caltagirone, Anne Murphy and Gloria DeJohn; brothers, Elmo Candelari and Anselmo Candelari; grandchidren, Tony Candelari, Chris Candelari, Stephen Candelari, Branna Bolin, Courtney Guynes and Kelly Guynes. COLLURA. Carlo Collura, 73, of Friendswood, passed away Sunday, November 26, 1995. Mr. Collura served our country during World War II as a Naval Aviator and flew combat missions in the Asian Pacific Theater. He retired from Atlantic Richfield in 1982 after 40 years of service. Mr. Collura is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Eleanor Collura; daughter, Karen and husband Ken Kaser of Lincoln, NE; four sons, Carl Collura, Roy Collura, Joseph Collura, Robert Colloura, Julie and family all of Houston; sister, Josephine Ivy of Houston; and several nieces and nephews. CERNOSEK. Marie Frantiska Cernosek, LVN, 99, died November 25, 1995. Born in 1896 in Ammansville, TX, she was the oldest of nine children of John and Emilie Cernosek. She resided in Houston for over fifty years and was a LVN dealing primarily with infant home care. Preceded in death by brothers Cyril Cernosek and Ivan Cernosek; and sisters Stella Kubala and Louise Galennie. Survived by brother John J. Cernosek of Houston; sisters Agnes Joseph of Richmond, TX, Oddie Donovan and Bernice Havelka, both of Houston; four nephews and three nieces. FALGOUT. Robert Paul Falgout died on Monday, November 27, 1995 at the age of 59. Mr. Falgout was born on February 7, 1936 in New Orleans, Louisiana. FITCH. "Janie" Mildred Fitch, 70, of Houston passed away on Saturday, November 25, 1995. Mr. & Mrs. Fitch had lived in Houston Heights for 20 years, and at Lake Sam Rayburn for the last 10 years. Mrs. Fitch was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert Fitch. "Granny" was also preceded in death by her grandson, Daykota Locke. FOX. Marie R. Fox, 75 passed away Monday, November 27, 1995 in Houston, Texas. Mrs. Fox was born December 14, 1919 in New Jersey to Benjmain & Edith Render. She was a 34 year residence of Houston, and a member of the Exxon Annultant Club, she married John M. Fox August 9, 1947 in South Amboy, New Jersey. Survivors include her husband, John; daughter, Jackie Seidensticker and her husband Eddie of Annhuac, Tx; son, Robert Fox and his wife Yen of San Marcos, Tx; grandchildren, Kristin, and Mark Seidensticker, Sara and Michael Fox; brother, Robert and his wife Jean Render of Edison, New Jersey; and numerous other relatives and friends. GILMORE. Alene W. Gilmore died on November 7, 1995 in San Francisco. A native of Texas and wife of the late Stephen F. Gilmore, she is survived by two daughters, Linda Gilmore and Mary Liewellyn and grandchildren, Stephen Sergent, Susan Doudlean, Sandra Gabor and Mark Liewellyn, and one great grandchild, Christian Gabor. GONZALEZ. Rito Leal Gonzalez, 61, of Houston passed away November 26, 1995. HODSON. John R. Hodson, the son of Frederick Weed Hodson and Ophelia Donnell. He was born in Chicago, Illinois on May 28, 1920. He died in Houston, Texas on November 25, 1995. Mr. Hodson is survived by his wife of fifty years, Virginia Benedict Hodson of Houston; son, John and his wife Linda of Richmond, Texas; grandchidren, Emily of Ames, Iowa and Michael of Richmond, Texas; Brother, Fred W. Hodson, Jr. and wife Barbara of Houston; sister, Martha Hodson Erwin and husband James of Houston along with numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Hodson was preceded in death by his parents and two children Ann Hodson Yoder and James Donnell Hodson. Mr. Hodson was a graduate of San Jacinto High School and received a B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Texas in 1941 and a M.S. degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1950. A certified professional engineer, his career was spent in the Petrochemical Industry in Baytown, Texas, Stamford, Conn., Brussels, Belgium, and Houston, Texas. He was a veteran of WW II and served as a Captain in the Army Air Corps. He was a member of Pines Presbyterian Church, AIChE, Alpha Phi Omega, Tau Beta Phi and was an Eagle Scout and member of the Order of the Arrow. A Memorial Services will be held on Tuesday November 28, 1995 at 4:00 pm at Pines Presbyterian Church 12751 Kimberly Ln. HUERTA. Guadalupe F. "Wally" Huerta, 89, passed away November 26, 1995. He was born in Cuero, Texas on March 3, 1906. His loving family includes his wife of 55 years Eloise; his son and daughter-in-law Wally and Edith Huerta; sisters Margarita Vera, Antonia Buentello, Paula Garza and Gertrudas Rubio. KINCAID. Woodrow Thomas Kincaid, of Temple, Texas, formerly of Houston, died Saturday, November 25, 1995, at the Temple V.A. Hospital. He was 77. Mr. Kincaid was born in San Saba County, Texas on July 6, 1918 to T.A. Kincaid and Mary Jane Haselden Kincaid. He served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II, in Corrigador, Phillipines, where he was a P.O.W. for 42 months, having been captupred by the Japanese. Mr. Kincaid was a life member of the EX-POW'S. He was a longtime resident of Houston, where he worked as a Barber for 30 years, and he was active in the Methodist Church. Mr. Kincaid is survived by his wife, Ruth Kincaid; his daughters, Gene Doyle and Susie Starnes and her husband Charles; his sons, Harold Kincaid and his wife Deborah and Zane Doyle and his wife Linda; his sister, Harrell English; and his grandchildren, Chuck Starnes, Emily Starnes, Andrea Starnes, Kathryn Starnes and Cady Kincaid. PENNINGTON. Jerry Pennington age 62, of Waller passed away November 25, 1995 in the V.A. Hospital in Houston. LeBLANC. Paul W. LeBlanc, 55, passed away suddenly, November 25, 1995. He was a native Houstonian and owner and CEO of LeBlanc Software Services. Preceded in death by parents Reynold E. and Florence LeBlanc. Survived by wife Gloria "Gena" LeBlanc; son Kenneth Gruller and his wife Julie; stepson Ray Blackmon; grandson Christopher Blackmon; brother Donald E. LINDERMANIS. Rand Denton Lindermanis, 35, of Norman, OKC, died Nov. 20, 1995, in his home. He was born Dec. 9, 1956, in OKC. Rand was part-owner and manager of the Valet and Lube Center in Norman. He is survived by his parents Richard and Ethelene Lindermanis of Houston, TX; a brother, Rob Lindermanis and his wife Deb, of Houston, TX; A Grandmother, Lilliebelle Roberts; Aunts, Jessie Yarbrough, Darla Presley, and Uncle John Oliver; many Cousins and loving friends. LOWRANCE. Bobby R. Lowrance, M.D., passed away November 27, 1995 at his home in Fresno, Texas after a lengthy struggle with cancer. He was born April 7, 1942 in Abilene, Texas. Dr. Lowrance grew up in Ft. Worth, TX and graduated in 1960 from Arlington Heights H.S.. He distinguished himself in high school in many ways, achieving Who's Who at Arlington Heights H.S. and Drum Major of the High School Band. He attended T.C.U. on a music scholarship while also studying his Pre-Med courses. After three years, he entered the University of Texas Medical Branch in Glaveston on a Dr. May Owen Scholarship, where he graduated in June of 1967. While there, he was a member of Aloph Kappa Kappa Medical Fraternity and the Mu Delta Honorary Medical Service Organization. He later did his Psychiatric residency at The University of Texas Medical Branch and the Baylor School of Medicin in Houston. Dr. Lowrance was a major in the Air Force at Keisler Air Force Medical Center from 1971-73. He was a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry in General Psychiatry as well as Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Dr. Lowrance has published in scientific journals and made numerous presentations locally, nationall and internationally. Dr. Lowrance was a founder of West Oaks Psychiatric Hospital and Stafford Meadows Psychiatric Hospital. He has been in private practice in psychiatry in Houston from 1974 until the present. He was an active member of the American Psychiatric Association, American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, a Fellow of the American Society of Adolescent Psychiatry, the Texas Medical Association and numerous other professional organizations. He was on the teaching faculty of Baylor College of Medicine and The University of Texas Health Science Center of Houston. He also served on the Board of Directors of SPM in Ft. Worth, TX, a family corporation started by his father. Dr. Lowrance was preceded in death by his father, C.E. Lowrance of Ft. Worth. He is survived by his son, Brian M. Lowrance of Houston; mother, Marie Lowrance of Ft. Worth; sister, Theresa Brillhart of Perryton, TX; brother, Dan E. Lowrance of Ft. Worth; and nieces, Karen and Katie Lowrance of Ft. Worth, and Tandra and Whitney Brillhart of Perryton. Dr. Lowrance was a wonderful father, son, brother and friend and he will be greatly missed by all. The family suggests that memorials may be made to M.D. Anderson Cancer Center or the Hospice at The Texas Medical Center. LUCE. Estelle Luce shared 96 years with her family and died after a short illness in the home of her daughter in Richardson, Texas. She lost her husband Willard M. Luce in 1982 after 41 years of marriage. POWERS. Mr. Kenneth Wayne Powers, age 44 of Houston died Saturday in Brandenburg, Kentucky. He was a hairstylist with Michaelyndon On The Boulevard in Houston.
