Survivors include his wife Vera, daughters Debbie Allen and Theresa West, son Steve Bailey and step-daughter Jenny Ready. He is also survived by two sisters Doris Taylor and Kathryn Gilbert and one brother, Doug Bailey. He leaves 6 grandchildren Kelly Allen, Tracy Allen, Jamie Baggett, Justin Baggett, Nikki Bailey, and Natay Baggett. He worked for Champion Paper Company for 37 years and retired in 1986. Bankston, 76, of Magnolia, formerly of Houston, died Sunday, November 25, 1995 at Tomball Regional Hospital. He was born June 4, 1919 in Telephone, Texas, the son of Garland W. and Hazel Weaver Bankston. Mr. Bankston was a veteran of WWII, having served in the U.S. Army where he received a Purple Heart and numerous other ribbons. He retired from the Houston Police Department after 20 years of service in 1963. He was preceded in death by his wife, Afton Lois Bufkin Bankston in 1988, A brother James Claude Bankston, and a grandson, Domenic Michael Bankston. Survivors include his children, Michael L. Bankston, Philip Horace Bankston, Cynthia L. Vivian Jones Bradford, 50, passed away November 21, 1995 in Corpus Christi. Born October 11, 1945 in Chicago, she is survived by husband Xavier, of 30 years, daughters Tara of Houston, Nichol of New York City, and sister Carol Hill of Chicago. Vivian was the first black woman in the United States to establish a Greyhound Racing Kennel, Greystroke Racing Team, LTD. In the community she had served as the President of the Gulf Coast Black Women's Lawyer Association, Executive Board Member of the Federation of Professional Women, Board Member of the Houston Area Women Center, and a Member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. He was a veteran of WWII, having served in the US Navy. Mr. Candelari was a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church. He retired from TRW in 1985 after 35 years of service. An avid sports fan and a master bridge player, he had played in many studios in Houston. Mr. Collura served our country during World War II as a Naval Aviator and flew combat missions in the Asian Pacific Theater. He retired from Atlantic Richfield in 1982 after 40 years of service. A certified professional engineer, his career was spent in the Petrochemical Industry in Baytown, Texas, Stamford, Conn., Brussels, Belgium, and Houston, Texas. He was a veteran of WW II and served as a Captain in the Army Air Corps. He was a member of Pines Presbyterian Church, AIChE, Alpha Phi Omega, Tau Beta Phi and was an Eagle Scout and member of the Order of the Arrow. Woodrow Thomas Kincaid, of Temple, Texas, formerly of Houston, died Saturday, November 25, 1995, at the Temple V.A. Hospital. He was 77. Mr. Kincaid was born in San Saba County, Texas on July 6, 1918 to T.A. Kincaid and Mary Jane Haselden Kincaid. He served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II, in Corrigador, Phillipines, where he was a P.O.W. for 42 months, having been captupred by the Japanese. Mr. Kincaid was a life member of the EX-POW'S. He was a longtime resident of Houston, where he worked as a Barber for 30 years, and he was active in the Methodist Church. Mr. Kincaid is survived by his wife, Ruth Kincaid; his daughters, Gene Doyle and Susie Starnes and her husband Charles; his sons, Harold Kincaid and his wife Deborah and Zane Doyle and his wife Linda; his sister, Harrell English; and his grandchildren, Chuck Starnes, Emily Starnes, Andrea Starnes, Kathryn Starnes and Cady Kincaid. Lowrance, M.D., passed away November 27, 1995 at his home in Fresno, Texas after a lengthy struggle with cancer. He was born April 7, 1942 in Abilene, Texas. Dr. Lowrance grew up in Ft. Worth, TX and graduated in 1960 from Arlington Heights H.S.. He distinguished himself in high school in many ways, achieving Who's Who at Arlington Heights H.S. and Drum Major of the High School Band. He attended T.C.U. on a music scholarship while also studying his Pre-Med courses. After three years, he entered the University of Texas Medical Branch in Glaveston on a Dr. May Owen Scholarship, where he graduated in June of 1967. While there, he was a member of Aloph Kappa Kappa Medical Fraternity and the Mu Delta Honorary Medical Service Organization. He later did his Psychiatric residency at The University of Texas Medical Branch and the Baylor School of Medicin in Houston. Dr. Lowrance was a major in the Air Force at Keisler Air Force Medical Center from 1971-73. He was a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry in General Psychiatry as well as Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Dr. Lowrance has published in scientific journals and made numerous presentations locally, nationall and internationally. Dr. Lowrance was a founder of West Oaks Psychiatric Hospital and Stafford Meadows Psychiatric Hospital. He has been in private practice in psychiatry in Houston from 1974 until the present. He was an active member of the American Psychiatric Association, American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, a Fellow of the American Society of Adolescent Psychiatry, the Texas Medical Association and numerous other professional organizations. He was on the teaching faculty of Baylor College of Medicine and The University of Texas Health Science Center of Houston. He also served on the Board of Directors of SPM in Ft. Worth, TX, a family corporation started by his father. Dr. Lowrance was preceded in death by his father, C.E. Lowrance of Ft. Worth. He is survived by his son, Brian M. Lowrance of Houston; mother, Marie Lowrance of Ft. Worth; sister, Theresa Brillhart of Perryton, TX; brother, Dan E. Lowrance of Ft. Worth; and nieces, Karen and Katie Lowrance of Ft. Worth, and Tandra and Whitney Brillhart of Perryton. Dr. Lowrance was a wonderful father, son, brother and friend and he will be greatly missed by all.
